The Idea Template

We recently introduced a new feature to Nosco App called the Idea Template. It lets administrators customise the template users complete when submitting ideas. The Idea Template helps you collect just the information you need and it guides users to describe their ideas with the right information.

An example

A client of ours recently ran an idea campaign regarding new product ideas. They customised their idea template by:

  • inserting a short text field to be used as the Title
  • inserting a text box to be used as the Description
  • inserting radio buttons for participants to specify whether the idea is radical or incremental
  • inserting a dropdown menu so participants could specify the most suitable market
  • using checkboxes for info about which departments should be involved in the development process
  • adding a numeric field for an estimate of the sales potential
  • adding a field for file upload of additional material such as videos and photos
  • adding a “user” field where the author can
  • Follow ideas, improved evaluation, filters and much more

Today we released a bunch of updates and new features for Nosco App that will make it smarter for both users and administrators.

    Filter ideas by selected options

The idea list can now be sorted across all selected options from the idea template. This is especially smart for users participating in idea campaigns with many ideas, since it allows them to narrow down the idea list in order to display more accurate results. Simply click the ”advanced” link on the idea list to get access to the new filter.

    Introducing Tags in Idea Exchange

When it comes to idea management, people have traditionally focused on campaigns and categories. But ideas are a fleeting substance that don’t necessarily fit into predefined categories or boxes.

Therefore we are launching a great new feature for Idea Exchange that goes beyond this. It’s actually not a ground-breaking invention but rather a nifty little feature that lets the administrator tag ideas across different categories.

Since tags don’t form a hierarchy and can interlink across different categories, it gives the administrator a better way to filter ideas.

    Create a new connection
Let’s say that you have two categories: New Products and Existing Products. Many of the ideas in these two categories will more than likely share similarities even though they are not in the same category. How do you create a connection? Simply tag the ideas that have something in common – for instance “marketing”.

You can add as many tags to an idea as

    Housewarming

These are exciting times at Nosco.

As you probably already know, we recently launched our new website, but we also moved into our new office, got new colleagues and many new customers. We think that’s worth celebrating!

Therefore we are throwing a little party.
Drop by our housewarming and spoil yourself with a glass of champagne, a little nice thing to eat and meet the people we love!
